Lil' Kim's 2008 birthday party at a Times Square karaoke club turned into a murder scene when a 24-year-old woman was beaten to death on the rooftop of the building in the hours during the celebration. Now, two years later, a club worker has finally plead guilty to beating Queens native Ingrid Rivera to death with a steel pipe before slashing her throat. Syed Rahman, who worked as a barback at the now defunct Spot Live club, admitted that he lured a drunk Rivera to the roof and proceeded to viciously attack her when she refused his sexual advances. The 25-year-old Rahman appeared in court on Tuesday (Feb. 2) to plead guilty to murder, and he now faces 20 years to life in prison. Rahman's lawyer, Peter Frankel confirmed that Rahman and Rivera were strangers before the tragic incident. He said that the event was in part a result of Rahman's inebriated state on the night of the party. Frankel declined to give details of the gruesome murder, choosing just to agree that it was "a series of horrible events."
Rahman will receive sentencing in March.
