Nas Calls Out Kelis in New Track

After months of silence regarding his impending divorce and child support woes, rapper Nas put his feelings to song addressing his relationship with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Kelis. In the the track 'Strong Will Continue,' off his upcoming joint album 'Distant Relatives' album with Damian Marley, the Queens MC gets candid about having to fork over thousands of dollars to support Kelis and their young son.

"How in the hell am I supposed to stay comfy when I pay child support, alimony monthly?" he raps. He also fesses up to Kelis' claims that he was unfaithful during their almost five year union. "So I've stuck with some married women so fine, cheating while their husband rushing on the 40-yard line/ Wonder if this is what my ex did the whole time."

It's not all bad though, when talking about his relationship with his infant son, Knight Jones, Nas remains hopeful "Twisted and mangled, sort of like Bruce Lee life/ Cursed with his son Brandon/ If that's you and me Knight/ I pray our fate's greater.

Nas and Kelis filed for divorce in April of 2009. Since then the former couple has been entangled in an arduous battle over custody and financial support. A judge ordered Nas to pay Kelis $51,000 a month in child and spousal support, plus comp medical expenses for their young son. The Grammy winning rapper who reportedly earned $4 million last year has also run into his share of money problems. He owes the IRS $2.5 million for failing to pay taxes in 2006 and 2007 and is indebted to his former manager to the tune of $700,000. Despite his personal and financial issues, Nas is scheduled to release 'Distant Relatives' in April.

All I have to say is that women are cool to have as PLATONIC friends. As soon as a man gives his heart and soul to a woman and starts catching feelings, put a fork in that friendship because it done. I think marriage is a great thing WHEN a man and a woman have their minds RIGHT. Unfortunately, we live in a day and age where BOTH genders refuse to check their egos and just let love rule. Because I know this to be a FACT not just my opinion, I believe that anybody who chooses to get serious about someone to the point of marriage is doing some serious drugs. Don't do the crime (marriage) if you can do the time (paying for that mistake for the rest of your life). DON'T DO IT!

PAY UP NAS!

Nas decides that he's going to be unfaithful, in a marriage I remind you, and he expects to come out just paying child support. Are you kidding me?! The marriage is ending because of you CHEATING and a "soon to be" ex-wife (famous or not!) should receive some "pain and suffering". Should've thought about the outcome before you decided to "play Dr." with someone other than your wife!

The problem with today society:
1.) You don't care who you marry, because you can "always get a divorce";
2.) You don't care who you sleep with (until a "fling" ends up with a pregnancy and now child support comes into play)

Marriage is a life long committment and children should be conceived out of love, not because you are "stimulated" and "ANYONE WILL DO".

I agree, but you know that sounds to much like right, therefore, nobody's trying it. This is why we have a ridiculous divorce rate in this country... because people are basically STUPID!

I'm glad people are making their opinions known. Further comment, Kelis has been showing up at award shows in VERY expensive couture designer clothes, etc. It just shows you where that 51k a month will go.

same thing happened to my brother. men get the short end of the stick when it comes to divorce and child support. the courts don't give a damn about the kids, it is not true at all. my brother has been in court for years, he has 80% child custody. psychology results say the ex wife is a danger to the kids and should be no where near them, but the courts let her try every six months anyway. my brother is broke and taking care of 5 kids! why? the lawyers and the courts love getting the money!

what then would be the motivation ???
Women know the courts side with them,
and they dont want to lose (sic) child support! (more like income) !
Family court is a gold mine
Women get the gold
Men get the shaft
