Grammy-winning rapper MC Lyte has announced plans to launch a syndicated radio show in early March.Lyte will host the new talk show, 'Cafe Mocha,' with co-hosts, comedian Loni Love of 'Chelsea Lately' fame, and Angelique Perrin, from the popular Los Angeles radio show 'The Beat.' 'Cafe Mocha' will also feature guest appearances by Emmy-winning author Michelle Hammond and sexologist Dr. Rachael Ross. The show's executive producer, Sheila Elridge, calls it an African-American version of popular talk show 'The View.'
"Café Mocha brings a fresh and empowering perspective that will speak directly and wholeheartedly to a community often overlooked by radio -- African American women," Eldridge said. "We're aiming to become the Essence magazine of the airwaves celebrating all shades of mocha."
