Say What! -- Fonzworth Bentley Records Song For Hip-Hop' + More

Fonzworth Bentley wants you to know that he is still a rapper, and in a completely unpretentious move, put together for his new song, "Fireside Chat," based on president FDR's celebrated talks.

"The piece was basically a fireside chat to African-Americans, but it was to also hip hop." Bentley told MTV. He then rambled on for a while about that, before breaking down his amazing song lyrics. "The most important words in that piece to me is 'There's a lot of folks that die for these rights/ We act like we don't know it,' which is at the beginning. Then at the end it is 'These stripes and stars used to evoke better bars.' That's not deniable." What? He went on to explain why he has so much more inspirational music for the fans. "Oh yeah. I went to [Morehouse College], the same school as Martin Luther King Jr," he said. "I went to the same school as Spike Lee. I went to the same school and Maynard Jackson, the first African-American mayor of Atlanta." This guy is so awesome. [MTV]

Howard Stern talked with the New York Post recently about the rumors that he'll be taking Simon Cowell's place on 'American Idol.' "What do you want me to tell you? Listen, I won't work with Ellen DeGeneres or Kara DioGuardi. If I go to 'American Idol', they're out..They don't have an opinion." Stern later discussed the show with 'Entertainment Tonight,' saying "I read in the paper that they want to give me $100 million to judge a karaoke contest, and that seems like pretty good pay for something as dumb as that." Howard and the dogg Randy together? Wow. [HollywoodLife]
