According to the Associated Press and New York Times, Lil Wayne's sentencing has been postponed for a second time. The delay today is said to be due to a fire that broke out at 10:30AM EST at the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse where Weezy was to turn himself in at 2:15PM EST for attempted criminal possession of a weapon. The charge stems from a 2007 incident where police found a loaded .40-caliber semiautomatic gun on his tour bus following a concert at the city's Beacon Theater. Weezy avoided the slammer last month after a judge postponed his original sentencing due to oral surgery. While details are slim the New York Fire Department confirmed that five firefighters, two civilians and one prisoner received minor injuries in the fire. The courthouse was evacuated to due excessive smoke. Lil Wayne was reportedly en route to the Lower Manhattan court when he learned of the news. No information has been released yet on Weezy's new sentence date.
