After a four year battle, California rapper Snoop Dogg has finally regained his right to enter the United Kingdom. The rapper was barred from entering the UK due to a 2006 brawl at London's Heathrow Airport that involved his entourage being denied entry into British Airways' VIP area.
Snoop made several attempts to reverse the ruling, even asking British celebrities David Beckham and Paul McCartney for aid. Though the ban was briefly overturned in 2008, the decision was quickly reversed, and the rapper remained restricted from entry into the country.
Now, finally, Snoop was given his day in court. On Friday, February 26, Snoop's attorneys presented their case to the UK Asylum and Immigration Tribunal, citing the Doggfather's cleaned-up family man image, his charity work, and appearances on 'The View' and soap opera 'One Life to Live.'
On March 1, the court removed the ban and Snoop is once again officially allowed entry into the United Kingdom.
