Troubled rapper DMX was arrested in Arizona yesterday (March 9) for violating parole. The Ruff Ryders rapper, who has a long history of infractions with the law, recently served time in Arizona for fraud and drug charges, where he was again detained Tuesday for violating the terms of his probation.
While his charges have not yet been revealed, his lawyer, Gary Jenkins acknowledged that he has been suffering from drug addiction, and said that he hopes celebrity drug counselor Dr. Drew can help the rapper with his addictions.
"He's been battling addiction for some time and he's in need of treatment," Jenkins told TMZ. "We're hoping that maybe Dr. Drew might be able to help him. He's a talented man...we're praying for him."
The Yonkers, NY, rapper reportedly faces five unspecified counts of parole violation.
