After several delays, Mariah Carey's camp has finally decided to scrap her remix album, 'Angels Advocate,' in favor of starting a brand new project. The album was intended to feature a collection of remixes from her last debut 'Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,' but the album couldn't seem to make it very far.
The compilation, which was recently scheduled for a March 30 release was set to feature a lineup of artists, including Snoop Dogg, R. Kelly, Mary J. Blige and Ludacris. On Monday (March 22), Mariah's Twitter account pointed to an announcement on MariahDaily which confirmed that the album would not see an official release. According to a statement from her management, it no longer seemed like a worthwhile project. "We are looking to go possibly to another studio album or Christmas album. The decision hasn't totally been made yet. It's a creative process that cannot be rushed."
For fans who were really looking forward to hearing Mi-Mi's remix album, her management still plans to release singles from the shelved album in the next few weeks. Mariah's twelfth studio album 'Memoirs of an Imperfect Album,' was released on Sep. 29.
