Kanye Recruits Q-Tip, RZA; Returns to 'Real Hip-Hop' on New Album

For the most part, Kanye West has stayed underground since his snafu with Taylor Swift last year, yet we've been hearing whispers about a new record pretty consistently during the last six months. Finally, some solid details are starting to take shape. Ye has been recording most of the album in Hawaii -- the same location as his last excursion, '808s & Heartbreak' -- and all reports indicate the artist's fifth full-length, titled 'Good Ass Job,' will be a return to core hip-hop principles.

"Talked to s'one who's heard Kanye's next album," tweeted Toure yesterday. "Says it's awesome, it's 'real hip-hop.' Outside producers include Pete Rock, Q-Tip, RZA."

Okay, that already sounds amazing. 'Good Ass Job' is also being positioned as an anti-Auto-tune record already. That's not to say it's a deliberate turnaround on the Auto-tune heavy '808s & Heartbreak,' but this looks like a retreat to something more tried and true.

"Kanye West's new album will make you confused rap n---- go back and listen to BEAT TAPES you've ignored," tweeted DJ Scratch last weekend. "Trust me."

We will trust you, DJ Scratch. Sounds good.

I'm looking forward to Kanye West's new album. It's time that he gets back to the music and hard hip-hop beats and put last year PR disaster behind him. He still makes good songs, especially with what he did on Jay-Z's album, and I hope this album is going to be hot! Pete Rock, Q-Tip and RZA on here--now we're talking about some hotter beats on this album to rival Kanye's own produced songs!

Sooo Kanye wont be on it as he is everything not hip hop. He is a producer who wants to rhyme but sucks. he cant write and everything about him is not hip hop. He's a looser and Chicago never liked this looser. He doesnt listen to hip hop or cook in his home as its beneath him..come just because you go get real hip hop track makers doesnt mean its hip hop.... I bet he makes huge elaborate videos and makes nothing but radio friendly crap which is anti hip hop..Go away Kanye and thank NO.ID for letting you get your foot in the door
