Hot 97 radio host Peter Rosenberg has announced that he will be honoring revered 90's hip-hop producer Pete Rock at his upcoming Noisemakers event in New York City on April 7.Rock is best known for his classic production on 'T.R.O.Y.' with CL Smooth, and has produced similar classic tracks and remixes for Nas, Public Enemy, Ghostface Killah, AZ, Mary J. Blige and more, that have helped establish his soul-drenched sound. The event will feature an interview with Rock, along with a tribute to his catalog played by house band The Noize.
Rosenberg recently featured Bun B at a Noisemakers event at SXSW in Austin on March 18, and other previous Noisemakers honorees include DJ Premier, Raekwon, Questlove, Q-Tip and Talib Kweli. For tickets and more information about the event, click here.
