Singer Faith Evans has joined the list of celebrities who owe Uncle Sam for back taxes. According to public records, the former Bad Boy artist owes more than $360,000 in both state and federal taxes. The IRS filed a $36,360 lien against Evans with the New York City Register's Office on March 4 and another on Feb. 16 for $119,821 with the Los Angeles County of Recorder of Deeds. The state of New Jersey also filed a $204,000 lien on Oct. 28, 2008.This will mark the second time this year Faith has found herself in hot water regarding her finances. In February, Kaushi Entertainment filed a million dollar lawsuit against Evans claiming she failed to distribute private home videos purchased of her late husband and rapper Notorious B.I.G.
Earlier this year, Faith announced that she inked a deal with E1 Television and E1 Music to launch a reality show and new album. The reality show, 'It's All About Faith,' will profile her return to the music industry and her album will be released on her own label Prolific Music Group.
"2010 is shaping up to be an amazing year for me," Evans said in a statement. "To be in a place where I have grown from an entertainer to an entrepreneur is truly a blessing. I am excited to share this incredible experience with my fans and the world."
