Erykah Badu Charged for 'Window Seat' Nudity

After much speculation as to whether she would receive legal repercussions over her controversial 'Window Seat' video, singer Erykah Badu has been officially charged with disorderly conduct for filming herself walking naked on a crowded Dallas street, without the consent of the city.

Dallas police officer, Sgt. Warren Mitchell, told reporters on Friday, April 2, that an unidentified 30-year-old woman has submitted a complaint against Badu over the impromptu video shoot, which borrowed from a popular Matt & Kim video, where the two rockers ran naked through New York's Times Square.

According to Mitchell, Badu will be mailed a citation for disorderly conduct, a class C misdemeanor in Texas, which is punishable by a fine of up to $500.

Badu tweeted about the charge earlier today, while also plugging her in-store appearance at Dallas' Good Records, in support of Record Store Day. "1 dollar for every 'New Amerykah' product sold at Good Records tomorrow will go towards my bail money. Thank you. (kidding) but I'm just sayin,'" tweeted the singer.

Badu's latest album, 'New Amerykah Part 2: Return of the Ankh,' is available in stores and at online retailers.
