While her current single 'Rude Boy' continues its run at the top of the Billboard charts, Rihanna has announced that she will embark on her 'Last Girl on Earth' tour across the U.S. and Canada this summer. Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj, as well as pop sensation Ke$ha, are scheduled to join Rihanna on her 25-city tour.
The show will kick off in Seattle on July 2 and hit New York's Madison Square Garden on August 12 before wrapping up in Chicago on August 25. Before launching the North American leg of her tour, Rihanna will also play several dates in Europe this Spring, beginning in Antwerp, Belgium on April 16.
During a recent sit down with AOL Music in Los Angeles, Ri-Ri explained that her new tour will be much improved from the last. "We've never done a tour to this capacity. The production is unbelievable and the costumes, we just took it to a whole new level," she said. "Visually and sonically it's going to be a big step up from the last time. We just keep growing and this time it is a massive production that I cannot wait for."
Tickets for Rihanna's 'Last Girl on Earth' tour will go on sale on Friday (April 9) on LiveNation.com. Check out Rihanna's feature with AOL Sessions after the jump.
