Although she is already an international star, Nigerian-born Nneka has just released her first U.S. album, 'Concrete Jungle,' which incorporates themes of love, hope and optimism for the people in her native region Warri. The 28-year-old singer-songwriter has been compared to the likes of Lauryn Hill, and was hand-picked by Lenny Kravitz to join him on his 2009 French tour, but now the striking vocalist is carving out her own place on the R&B/soul scene. In January, Nneka embarked on her Concrete Jungle Tour, hitting 14 cities throughout the U.S., including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco, where she shot her first tour diary for The Boombox. Go behind the scenes with the remarkable singer, and get a taste of what's in store when she goes back on the road with Nas and Damian "Jr Gong" Marley on the Distant Relatives Tour, beginning May 21.
