Big Boi's solo debut album, 'Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty' has been a notorious victim to the album delay cycle, but on Thursday (April 9), the Outkast member issued yet another release date for his long-awaited LP. "BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!' Big Boit tweeted. "Sir Lucious Left Foot ... The son of chico dusty official release date July 6th! Yay," he wrote.
Back in January, Big Boi made a similar announcement on his Twitter page, explaining that the album had been confirmed for a March 23 release. Now that the date has come and gone, fingers are crossed that the July 6 date will remain solid. Big Boi's attempt to relocate from Jive Records to Def Jam seemingly attributed to the delay, after he made the switch in March. And although the rapper blames the general music industry climate for the postponements, on Monday (April 5) he premiered a new single 'Shutterbug' from the album, during a listening session in NYC. Confirmed guest appearances on the upcoming album include Outkast's Andre 3000, T.I. and Gucci Mane.
