Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj has been making some interesting career choices lately. Having just dropped out of Rihanna's 'Last Girl on Earth' tour at the very last minute, Minaj has reportedly fired her manager, Debra Antney. Antney, the CEO of So Icey/Mizay Entertainment, also manages popular rapper Gucci Mane and is the mother of So Icey artist Waka Flocka Flame. She said that her termination came as a complete surprise.
"I received a letter, which was [a] suspension," Antney explained. "The next letter that came in was a cease and desist in doing all business with Nicki Minaj from Nicki's attorney." Though Antney claims not to know why Minaj chose to part ways, she said that she still supports her, as a friend.
"I love Nicki. I wish her the most success. It's not about the music, she's like one of my children," she said, "I wish her no harm, only much success."
While Minaj's new representation has yet to be revealed, the Queens rapper recently announced that her highly-anticipated debut will see a fall 2010 release, on Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Motown.
