Nas Ordered to Pay Kelis $299K in Child Support, Legal Fees

This crap is stupid, Nas is stupid, kelis is stupid, man, woman, we all stupid. We meet fall in love, f each others brains out then f each other over. S happens, now why can't we be adults and take care of our resposibilities and each other, even when we have to move on. Get this, out of 299k, 155k goes to who?.. that's right da lawyer, that should be going to the babies college fund, CMON MAN!

Well, Hopefully the judge would the money go into a trust fund or have a payee. So the child would benefit later down the road.

Maybe attend college and it's sad that two couldn't resolve this issues rather than see lawyers making all that money.

At the end the lawyers made the most money and no one failed to think about the child and the time lost during this situation. Kelis it's not about money at the end the child will want and need the time with the father period.

There is no standard for what happens with child support payments in any state.
Some women use all their "ex's" child support payments for the children, with any they don't need at the moment going into savings or an educational trust.
Others -- The kids are dressed out of Salvation Army stores, fed beans and rice-- if they're lucky, and "Red Hot Mama" is off to the Wild Side. Most of that child support goes to buy bling and clothes for her active bed partners than the kids ever hope to see.

I'd pick them up at school, fly across country to a super job offer where the courts would have issued a restraining order and with the dollar advantage, I would have had full control. Instead, I turned down the job and stuck it out.
There should be LAWS IN PLACE, requiring custodial spouses to document and justify every dime of child support spent, and prove "extra" goes into protected accounts.
But politically correct judges won't consider tight controls on custodial mothers.

I am a female and I agree with what spikeritz states. There are many females out there that have children and collect child support and instead of spending it on the children, these women spend it on themselves or their current boyfriend. I am currently in a relationship where he has two children from a previous marriage and she spends her child support paying for her current boyfriends child support payments so that he wont go to jail ! She buys her children clothes from garage sales with holes and rips on them and she will buy the clothes that are three sizes too big so that they last a long time. I totally disagree with that. She should be spending the money on the children not to help her current boyfriend pay his child support. That is down right ridiculous. I have worked with many females who spend the money on expensive jewelry or prada shoes instead of the kids. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. I believe that either male or female, who ever has custody should account for what they are spending the money on, it doesn't have to be to the nickle but in general. I am the one buying clothes for the kids because I am embarrased to take them out looking scraggly and unkept, the kids like the clothes and want to take it home. I say no but he feels bad and allows them to take it home so his ex-wife has the best of both worlds, new clothes that I provide and she spends the money on her current lover. BULLS**T !

Well, Uncle Dick, there are far too many of these heifers that are endorsements for selective sterilization, & deliberately suck guys into getting them knocked so they can ride that gravy train. Quite frankly, California couldn't care less if these kids benefit from the money, as long as they get the federal subsidies from all the open cases this generates for them. Child support/family support, welfare, foster care, & anything else they can double end off of human misery just tickles the state of CA pink!
