Nicki Minaj Wants a Fresh Start on New Album

Rapper Nicki Minaj has been so busy these days that she hasn't found the time to record any tracks for her debut album. According to the Queens, New York native, besides dropping her single 'Massive Attack,' Minaj decided that she wanted to start from scratch but has been slow to the draw. "You know the stuff that I've done -- it doesn't really reflect me anymore, so I want to have an entirely new body of work," she said in an interview.

Minaj who has appeared on tracks for the likes of Usher, Mariah Carey and Ludacris to name a few, also revealed that prior to rapping she had other entertainment aspirations. "At first, I fell in love with acting," she said. "And I kind of gave up on the singing, because well, I'm just not that good at it. And then I realized that rapping was something that I thought I could really master."

Despite her ever mounting buzz, the Sean Garrett-produced 'Massive Attack' received a lukewarm reception peaking at No. 65 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs charts, perhaps further fueling her desire for a clean start. Either way, her legions of "Barbies" should be on the lookout for her debut album to drop sometime later this year.

Niki should just be a straight up rapper. Not think too hard about it. Massive Attack had too much of her elements in one song compare to her other chart toppers. She just need tracks of her rapping and that's it. young money and cash money is about this maybe she need the same producers Wayne use.
Sean garret song was cool but tried too hard to be a club banger.while her other club bangers where her straight up rapping and they turnt to club bangers and chart toppers

I think "massive attack" was too "over thought out" it had all her elements in one song. it didn't have that impact like her work on prior singles. She need a scorcher. they tried to club banger but didn't know how to make one. Niki needs to be a straight up rapper like on her mixtape. she's thinking too much.
one element with the beats and rhymes. Being under young money and cash money you would think producers would know. She should of just made a song that turned into a club banger instead she made a club banger that wasn't as banging compared to her other work like "My chick Bad"
