Kid Cudi is going to stay a very busy man for the time being. On top of working on his new album, 'Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager,' Cudder's contract has been renewed for the second season of HBO's hustling dramedy 'How to Make it in America.' The show, starring Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk, follows a group of young ambitious types in New York City as they attempt to create a future in the fashion industry. Cudi plays Domingo, the friend that has already arrived and generally pops up in party scenes to offer sage advice to his less successful co-stars.
The new season of 'How to Make it in America' is already set to premiere during summer 2011 with eight new episodes. The show, which is commonly referred to as an "East Coast Entourage" didn't receive great ratings in its first season, but HBO noted the program carries a particularly rabid fan base among 20-somethings and the general public with recession anxiety.
Along with Cudi, the supporting cast also includes Lake Bell, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Martha Plimpton, Shannyn Sossamon and the always-amazing Luis Guzman. The show was created by Ian Edelman, and Mark Wahlberg is billed as a co-executive producer. Filming for the new season is expected to start later this year.
