Brooklyn/Cincinnati-based rap group Tanya Morgan will be presenting a hip-hop book drive today in NYC. Curated by Tanya Morgan, the First Book Charity and Book Drive takes place today, April 30 at Crash Mansion in downtown New York, and will feature performances by Duck Down artists Buckshot of Black Moon, Skyzoo and Torae, along with Tanya Morgan and several other surprise guests.
Proceeds from the event will go towards First Book, a non-profit organization that provides books to underprivileged children in the United States and Canada. Over the past 20 years, First Book has provided a staggering 65 million books for children in need.
The event begins today, April 30, at 7:30PM. Admission is $12, which will be donated to First Book, and concert-goers are encouraged to bring used books to donate as well.
