Several of Nicki Minaj's peers have been very vocal lately in their opinions about the Young Money artist. Just a few days ago The BoomBox reported that rapper/model Gloria Velez referred to Minaj as a "gimmick" who simply had the "right team behind her."
Adding more fuel to the fire, Velez has taken things a step further and recorded a lo-fi diss track airing out hip-hop's newest femcee. In a two-minute rap over Young Money's 'Roger That,' Velez addresses things like Minaj's alleged plastic surgery, calls her a Lil Kim clone, and refers to her as a rapper with Tourette syndrome.
Velez opens with, "I'm in a six-speed drop and I'm sick with the clutch/ I'm bout to go in on this b---- like a d--- in her guts/ Come on Nicki? Is you licking or what?/ How many silicone shots you gonna stick in your butt?"
She then goes on to say, "It's Glo/ Murda Mami, strapped up, emergency / I wasn't gonna do it, but b---- you keep urging me / You better run and use extreme urgency / brain f---ed up, too much plastic surgery ... Remember you came out a Lil Kim clone?/ then you started sounding like you got Tourette's syndrome."
The female sector of hip-hop has been quiet for some time. It's been a while since fans have seen a beef between female artists. Will Velez's efforts spark a verbal battle between her and Nicki Minaj? Guess we'll have to wait and see.
At press time there was no response from Nicki Minaj regarding the track. Hear Velez' diss track after the jump.
