D.C. Don Juan has been trailblazing with his debut single, 'Lookie Looky,' and true to his innovative ways, the rapper will be delivering the week in news every Friday in an exclusive audio stream on The Boombox.The Bronx native, born Maurice Campbell Jr., moved to Washington, D.C. at age 12, an event that ultimately influenced his stage name. D.C. Don Juan eventually moved to Denver, where he cultivated his talent with the help of his friend Dermarr Johnson of the Denver Nuggets. Later, the 23-year-old rapper relocated to Atlanta and collaborated with the likes of Polow Da Don and Boo and Gotti to subsequently land him a recording contract with Battery Records.
In his eight-year career, D.C. Don Juan has recorded over 4,000 songs, culling material from his personal struggles with poverty and street life. Now, the prolific rapper is showcasing his talent in 'The Rap-Up' a weekly audio series that recaps noteworthy events from the news. Check out his first installment below.
