Nas Claims He's Going Through 'Hell' Trying to See His Son

Having already undergone a vicious divorce and child support battle, Queens rapper Nas and his ex-wife, singer Kelis, appear to still be butting heads over visitation of their son, Knight.

Speaking with Vibe recently, Nas claimed that his relationship with Kelis remains strained, and that it is "hell" trying to see his son, who has already begun to crawl. "My son was born with ice grills, so when his mom feels in the mood she sends pictures," Nas said. "If not, it's hell. It's hell trying to figure that out, trying to get him -- I'll just leave it at that. It's hell. A man shouldn't go through that s---, but it's another story I'ma tell at a different time."

Regardless of his issues with Knight's mother, Nas added that having a son was "the coolest s--- ever."

"It's amazing," he told Vibe. "My daughter is my princess and now I have a prince, so it's a beautiful thing to have a son and a daughter. Now I have a little man. It's the coolest s--- ever."

Nas and Kelis divorced in 2009, citing irreconcilable differences, during which time Kelis gave birth to their son (The rapper has a teenage daughter, Destiny, with video vixen Carmen Bryan.) After fighting over back child and spousal support payments for months, Nas was finally ordered to fork over a sum of $87,000 for missed payments, and a monthly recurring payment of $10,000.

Though Nas claims that he cannot afford to make the monthly payments, and has requested that the court recalculate his earnings based on his current financial situation, the ruling has yet to be overturned.

Nas and Damian Marley's collaborative album, 'Distant Relatives' is in stores May 18.
