Trick Daddy and Ja Rule star in a new film about about the trials and tribulations of the rap music industry.The film, entitled 'Just Another Day,' tells the story of two rappers attempting to break into the industry. Wood Harris, best known for his role as Avon Barksdale in 'The Wire,' plays A-Maze, a Jay-Z-like kingpin who feels his crown beginning to slip, while Jamie Hector, who also appeared on 'The Wire' as Marlo Stanfield, plays an ambitious young MC attempting to break into the game.
The film is directed and produced by Oscar-nominated director Peter Spirer, and features appearances by rappers Big Daddy Kane, Lil Scrappy and Petey Pablo, in addition to Trick Daddy and Ja Rule, the latter who is the only rapper playing himself.
'Just Another Day' will be a straight-to-DVD release, hitting stores on July 20.
