Pitbull Cancels Arizona Concert Due to Immigration Law

Pitbull is the latest in a series of rappers who have made the decision to boycott performances in Arizona, due to the state's controversial new immigration bill.

The Miami rapper announced that he has decided to bypass the May 31, date on his 'Mr. Worldwide's Carnaval,' tour which was intended to stop at the Phoenix Celebrity Theatre. Pitbull relayed the news via Twitter, explaining to fans that it was simply a moral issue. "I am canceling my concert in Phoenix on May 31 ... How is the country we enjoy and love bcuz of its human rights, freedom, opportunity and that has been built by immigrants, now start 2 deny them??...It is contradicting 2 everything the USA stands 4," he wrote on Thursday, May 13.Earlier this week, Cypress Hill canceled their May 21 concert stop in Tuscon, Ariz., in order to put up a "show of resistance to the criminalization of immigrant communities."

'Mr. Worldwide's Carnaval' -- Pitbull's biggest tour to date -- will kick off in Denver on May 25 and wrap up on June 28 at Milwaukee's Summerfest.

Crime is not identified by race. Arizona will be loosing money...who wants to go to a state where there are no human rights? Arizona’s Immigration Law will remain a racist law regardless who or the number of people that support it.

Thanks PitBull, we don't want you in Arizona to begin with.

This law has a side benefit. It's keeping out all the legal dregs of society by their boycott. Keep up the boycott fellas!!! This will be a boon for Arizona tourism. All the people who don't go to Arizona because of illegal alien crime will now be coming. Hooray!
