After months of fighting a losing battle to get his singles back on the radio, it seems that Chris Brown has cut his loses and will continue to release free music. The Virginia native has teamed up with Young Money rapper, Tyga, to debut a new mixtape 'Fan of a Fan,' which hit the Web at midnight on Monday, May 17.Except for a few quick verses from Lil Wayne on the track 'I'm on It' and Bow Wow on 'Ain't Thinking 'Bout You,' the mixtape is predominantly a mixture of hip-hop and R&B tunes from the two young performers. According to Tyga's Twitter page, the duo will soon release a video for the mixtape track 'Deuces,' which was leaked before the official release.
There has been some speculation that Brown's verses on the track are a jab at his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. "All that bulls--- is for the birds, you ain't nothing but a vulture," Brown sings. "Always hoping for the worst, waiting for me to f--- up/You'll regret the day when I find another girl, that knows just what I need/She knows just what I mean, when I tell her keep it drama free." The 21-year-old singer is currently serving probation after assaulting Rihanna in 2009.
Tyga joined Brown on stage on Saturday, May 15, to perform 'Deuces' at the Virginia Stand Up! charity concert, which was intended to raise funds for Haiti. Other performers at the concert included Keri Hilson, Trey Songz and T-Pain.
