Miami rapper Flo Rida's former manager, J'Von "4Mill" Thomas, has announced plans to launch his own career as an MC.An industry vet, Thomas began his career in 2000, when he signed with Warner Brothers as a producer. He went on to establish Poe Boy Entertainment, continuing his work as a producer, engineer and promoter, before signing and overseeing Flor Rida's career.
When Flo Rida was signed to Atlantic, 4Mill engineered and arranging the rapper's 2007 breakout hit 'Low,' his 2008 hit 'Right Round' and engineered Lady Gaga's 'Starstruck' which also featured the rapper. 4Mill first appeared on Flo Rida song 'Ha,' but it seems he has parted ways with his Grammy-nominated client and decided to continue his career as an artist.
"I feel extremely confident with [pursuing] my own rap career, as I know the whole business side of things behind the scenes," 4Mill said. "I feel like with this former knowledge I have the best of both worlds and I am unstoppable."
Flo Rida's third album, 'The Only One,' is scheduled to be released this Summer. There is no word as to when 4Mill's music will be made available.
