Rumors regarding Mariah Carey's "baby bump" have traversed the Web for weeks, but now a source close to the pop diva has finally confirmed that she is, in fact, pregnant. Popular website Radar Online reports that the 40-year-old singer may have dropped out of her role in Tyler Perry's upcoming 'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf,' due to the fact that she and her husband, entertainer Nick Cannon, are expecting a child.
The seemingly happy couple have been spotted taking trips to an alleged "Medical Building" frequently of late, and many have questioned Carey's recent weight gain, but now it appears that Carey and Cannon, who renewed their vows on their second anniversary this past May, have succeeded in their attempts at conceiving.
"They're both very excited and very happy," said Radar Online's source. "Mariah and Nick want to keep the pregnancy quiet as long as they can."
Meanwhile, the singer's rep did not confirm nor deny the news, saying that she was "not at liberty to discuss Mariah's personal life at this time."
