The new 2,800 square foot store will be made of recycled wood, metal and packaging materials, in an effort to eliminate waste. Fixtures and other furnishings from the previous Miami location will also be used to furnish the new store. According to the company's website, the store "is just one of the many projects from Sean John focusing on the future and the brand's perception of it." For the grand opening of Shop Future, Sean John will team up with the Eastern District Gallery to present a display of sustainable art and furniture by designers Jason Horvath and Aakash Nihalani.
The new store will house Sean John's spring/summer and fall 2010 clothing, accessories and fragrance collections. The store will be located at 8570 W Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles.
