Jay-Z and U.K.'s Tinchy Stryder Launch 'Takeover Roc Nation'

Jay-Z
has spent a substantial amount of time across the Pond in recent months, touring and promoting his 'Blueprint 3' album, but the Brooklyn emcee has also been handling some business. Hov has signed a joint venture with U.K. rapper Tinchy Stryder to launch the new company, Takeover Roc Nation.

The company is a fusion of Jay-Z's Roc Nation label and Tinchy Stryder's management company, Takeover Entertainment. According to a statement, Takeover Roc Nation will be a worldwide 360 entertainment company, which will handle records, live performances, management and merchandising for their artists. The U.K.-based company is actively scouting new talent and will release records through Sony Music, while teaming with Live Nation to handle all other facets of artist management.

Tinchy Stryder -- who released his debut album 'Star in the Hood' in 2007 -- has already launched his own successful enterprises, including a publishing company, Takeover/Cloud 9, which runs through EMI Music Publishing and a successful clothing line called Star in the Hood. The 23-year-old rapper has seen growing success in the U.K., but he says that the new business venture with Hov is a huge accomplishment for him. "Jay-Z is my music and business inspiration and to go into business with him is a dream come true," Stryder said of the new partnership. "It's taken nearly a year to get the deal right so I'm excited to start signing artists to the label side of the joint venture deal."

Despite the new joint venture, Stryder will continue to release his music through Island Records in the U.K., and Jay-Z will remain with Atlantic Records in the UK.

Jay-Z was in the UK earlier this week, where he performed at the MEN Arena in Manchester on Monday (June 7). Drake joined him onstage to perform songs from his debut album 'Thank Me Later.'
