Last week The BoomBox reported that Dr. Dre and Kanye West were some of the musicians who lent their music to the second edition of 'DJ Hero.' Activision Publishing Inc, the company behind the video game, announced Monday (June 14) that Eminem, Pharrell Williams and Usher are just a few of the other musical heavyweights that will be featured on some of their other games, slated to hit shelves this fall. This November, 'Call of Duty: Black Ops,' the newest installment of the action series, will feature a new track from Eminem's upcoming 'Recovery' album while 'DJ Hero 2' will also include Usher's chart-topping hit 'OMG.' N.E.R.D. frontman and super producer Pharrell Williams will lend his music to headline the soundtrack of the company's forthcoming action game 'True Crime: Hong Kong.' Upcoming R&B, pop and jazz singer Rhea, who has previously collaborated with Williams and N.E.R.D. will also add to the game's soundtrack.
"Activision's fall titles are set to give gamers an unparalleled musical experience," Activision Blizzard CEO, Bobby Kotick said in a statement. "We have assembled an exceptionally talented roster of artists, many of whom have created exclusive or originally recorded tracks for our games."
