Hip-hop and the NBA share a number of ties; one most recently involves Kobe Bryant and Game's release date for his latest project 'The R.E.D Album.' According to the Compton rapper, the Lakers superstar is the reason he's decided to change the release date of his new album.Caught up in the hype of the NBA finals, Game took to his Twitter account yesterday (June 15) to explain his decision. "I pushed my album back so it would land on Kobe's #'s...8 & 24 n it's year 10' n that was his Olympic #. R.E.D. In stores 8-24-10 ! #KOBE," he wrote.
'The R.E.D. Album''s most recent release date was July 6, but will now be released on August 24. The album has been pushed back several times since its original release date that was set for last fall.
