Last Friday (June 18) former Death Row Records CEO and gangsta rap kingpin Suge Knight reportedly sat down with Kanye West in an attempt to settle their lawsuit.
The suit was filed by Knight in 2008, and claims Kanye is responsible for a shooting that occurred at a Miami MTV Video Music Awards party he hosted in 2005, where Knight was shot in the leg and allegedly robbed of a $135,000 diamond earring.
Though the two are scheduled to meet in court on December 6, they reportedly had a six hour "closed meeting" in Manhattan on Friday, but unfortunately were unable to reach a resolution.
"I'm disappointed," Knight said of the outcome. "I figured I could sit him down, man to man, and get this resolved."
Though not critically injured, Knight reportedly suffered a shattered bone in his right leg, requiring surgery, physical therapy and over $200,000 in medical expenses, for which he is seeking $1 million as compensation.
Knight contends that he just wants the whole thing resolved in a "positive" way.
"My whole thing is: I'm not here to put nobody behind bars," Knight said. "It's time for more positive now."
