DMX's Wife Auctions Jay-Z Autographed Plaque on eBay

DMX's wife, Tashera Simmons, recently launched her non-profit organization, Women of Strength Group, which aids women and children in their struggle against abuse. In her first venture to raise money for the organization, Simmons will auction off a rare Roc-A-Fella plaque, autographed by Jay-Z.

The plaque -- which bears artwork from several Roc-A-Fella album covers, including Memphis Bleek and Jay-Z -- has been placed on eBay, with a starting bid of $5,000. In addition to Jay-Z's John Hancock, the plaque also features a personal inscription from the Roc-A-Fella co-founder, which reads, "16 million and counting. Thank you for your support, Jay-Z."

All profits from the sale of the plaque will benefit the Women of Strength Group.

In a statement to AllHipHop, Simmons explained that her organization will focus on providing shelter and support for families dealing from abuse. "Women of Strength is a foundation that dedicates its' time and resources for women and children who's lives have been affected by drug abuse, abandonment and other social conflicts," she explained.

In March, Simmons announced plans to pen a tell-all book about her troubled marriage to DMX, entitled 'Strength of a Woman.' The two have been wed since 1999.
