MaxwellWe already know that President Obama's a hip-hop head, but it turns out he's not the only music lover in the White House. According to reports, First Lady Michelle Obama took the night off Friday, to check out a live concert by Maxwell and Jill Scott at the Verizon Center in the nation's capital. Keeping it forever classy, the First Lady enjoyed the show from a private suite, along with about a dozen of her girlfriends and her mother, Marian Robinson.
Not one to be outdone, President Obama went out on the town as well, bringing daughters Sasha and Malia to the Washington Nationals vs. Chicago White Sox game across town.
Michelle was also recently spotted running around Los Angeles, eating at several Hollywood restaurants and attending a Lakers game at the Staples Center.
Meanwhile, Maxwell is prepping a new, indie rock-inspired album. He described his new album, 'BLACKsummers'night,' as "hybrid of music" with "a little bit of a rock element," inspired by indie groups like Animal Collective, Fleet Foxes, and the xx.
