Chris Brown made a surprise appearance at this year's BET Awards to perform a dance heavy tribute to the late Michael Jackson. Brown took the stage performing several of Jackson's hits including, 'The Way You Make Me Feel,' and 'Remember the Time,' but by the time the singer launched into 'Man In the Mirror' his emotions got the best of him. The 21-year-old dropped the microphone and wept as the crowd mouthed the words to the song for him. The youngster has long noted Jackson as one of his musical inspirations, and has also drawn several comparisons to the legendary star for his dance moves and performance style. "Michael Jackson is the reason why I do music and why I am an entertainer," the Virginia native said following his passing. "I am devastated by this great loss, and I will continue to be humbled and inspired by his legacy."
Jackson suffered a fatal cardiac arrest on June 25, 2009, just one month before he was to embark on a comeback tour. It is estimated that since his death, his estate has banked close to $800 million in revenue.
