Lil Wayne to Release Fall EP

Lil Wayne might not be able to put in much studio time these days, but that isn't stopping his label from releasing new music. Though Weezy's anticipated 'Tha Carter IV' might not be in stores until next year, Wayne's co-manager and Young Money CEO Cortez Bryant told Vibe that fans will be able to purchase a new EP titled 'I'm Not a Human Being' from the New Orleans native ahead of his November release from prison.

"I'm putting out a [Wayne] album called 'I'm Not a Human Being' and I'll probably drop it on his birthday, September 27," he explained of the EP, which will serve as a prelude to 'Tha Carter IV.' "We not about to roll out no three month set up. I'm not even putting it out in stores. We just gonna put it out virally and maybe package it up for Christmas. Give 'em a hard copy later for fan appreciation."

Wayne is currently serving a yearlong sentence in NYC's Rikers Island following an arrest back in 2007. The rapper was performing at New York City's Beacon Theatre before police discovered a gun and marijuana on his tour bus, later leading Weezy to pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon in October 2009. He was sentenced to one year in prison in March 2010, though he is only expected to serve eight months of his 12-month sentence.

His seventh LP, 'Rebirth,' was released in February 2010 before he headed off to prison. Debuting at number two on the chart, the album has sold more than 500,000 copies, spawning the singles 'Prom Queen' featuring Shanell, 'On Fire' and 'Drop the World' featuring Eminem.

Isn't the system great? Letting a rapper that breaks the law and is in jail make a CD from there. Oh how wonderful this system is. Now I have seen everything. Rap is the most horrible music if you can call it music on the planet. People in jail get more that the honest people get. SAD very SAD.

I think the title of the album, I'm not a Human Being", describes Lil Wayne perfectly.

Let's hope that "lil wayne" IS one of the last "great" rap artists.....as opposed to all the other rap "artists" who think they are great too.

Lil' Wayne, one of the last great rap artists, a genius at his craft. Sucks that he's in jail but he did do something stupid. I look forward to this EP. My girlfriend thinks the same with me. She's 8 years younger than me and I'm only 21 HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!
