Dame Dash Calls Jay-Z 'a Criminal' -- Say What!
Dame Dash recently discussed his relationship with Jay-Z, whom he charges with "stabbing him in the back" after their partnership went sour. "The people that I was helping, once they realized their dreams, they did what a criminal would do," Dame said. "They stabbed you in the back. Think about the frustration of building a brand for years that should be taking care of your family, and then the person that was the closest to you saying, 'Nah, you can't have no parts of it,' and flushing it." Ouch. [VillageVoice]
M.I.A. continues to take shots at Lady Gaga. In an interview with Time Out London, the singer launched into an attack of Gaga and Oprah Winfrey (!) after feeling snubbed by the talk show mogul at the Metropolitan Ball in NYC recently. "[Oprah] made this huge speech at the ball praising Lady Gaga about how she is helping Americans to be the best of themselves...There's millions of other Americans who represent that for me. Is [it] about numbers? About how much you're selling? Is it truly about the journey? Because [Lady Gaga's] journey isn't that difficult: to go from the f--king Upper East Side to a f--king performing arts school and onto a stage at the museum of f--king wherever. That journey's about four miles." Yo, Maya, don't hurt 'em! [TimeOutLondon]
