During a recent interview with British radio personality, Tim Westwood, Nas revealed that he understood the necessity of creating a masterpiece on his upcoming project.
"I'm definitely looking at my solo project as one of the important records of my life," Nas told Westwood. "It's going to be magic. I feel a magic thing happening, brewing. I keep calling it a magic moment. That's what it's going to be. I feel that the stuff that I'm writing down, the directions that I'm thinking about going into... It doesn't even matter what producers [produce it], if it's Swizz Beatz, if it's [DJ] Premier, if it's Alchemist, Dr. Dre, Kanye."
While Nas doesn't seem too troubled about which super-producer he enlists for the project, he did make sure to mention that Kanye West has already expressed interest in producing the album. "Actually Kanye hit me up saying 'I want to do the album,'" Nas revealed. "And RZA... Those dudes inspire me to go in there and do what I'm supposed to do at this day and age... I gotta deliver."
Nas didn't specify whether or not he'd actually accepted Kanye's production offer, but he went on to rave about Yeezy's upcoming album 'Good Ass Job,' which is likely a good sign.
