Upon reading the announcement, Twitter exploded with "Yo Kanye, I'm happy for you, and Imma let you finish, but @questlove is the best Twitterer of all time!" jokes. Nonetheless, the 'Power' creator was welcomed into the fold by fellow celebs like Perez Hilton.
The rapper/producer's first tweet was an unintentionally amusing one. "Up early in the morning taking meetings in Silicone [sic] Valley," Kanye tweeted, before correcting his mistake. "Lol I spelled Silicon wrong ( I guess I was still thinking about the other type of silicone ITS A PROCESS!! : )"
Though initially critical of Twitter, having turned to the dark side, Kanye used his new social networking profile to reveal a piece of interesting information regarding his highly-anticipated new album.
"The album is no longer called 'Good Ass Job' I'm bouncing a couple of titles around now," West wrote.
Kanye went on to "shout out" all the websites that ran stories about his Facebook performance (Where's our shout, 'Ye? Do we need to get @RamosFortGreene or @john_monopoly to put you up on us?).
In a matter of hours, Kanye West already has 55,000 followers (and counting), and follows no one. His forthcoming, currently-untitled new album is scheduled for a September 14 release.
