Following a tearful performance during the Michael Jackson tribute at the BET Awards on June 27, Chris Brown's career seems to be back on the right track.

The R&B singer has inked a new deal with Creative Artists Agency -- a leading sports and entertainment agency -- and announced that the follow-up to his 2009 album 'Graffitti' is on the way. "My new album will come next year or sooner," Brown told fans on Twitter. "But in the meantime, I might do something special for ya'll again."

Brown's most recent musical project was the 'Fan of a Fan' mixtape which he released with Young Money rapper, Tyga back in May. Since then he's dropped several remixes to popular hip-hop tracks including Nicki Minaj's hit single 'Your Love.'

The 21-year-old singer and actor will also be featured in the upcoming action film, 'Takers,' which will hit theaters on August 27. Brown stars in the movie alongside T.I., Idris Elba, Zoe Saldana and Matt Dillon, in addition to being named as one of the film's executive producers.
