The Ohio rapper-turned-actor, who came up under the tutelage of Jermaine Dupri, tapped the Yonkers emcee to act as "ambassador" of his new effort, reportedly titled 'Who Is Shad Moss.'
"I did that because, you know, I just wanted somebody who's well-respected in hip-hop to challenge me," he told RealTalkNY. "Coming with the 'Greenlight' mixtapes that I've been coming out with and the response I've been getting, you know, I just wanted to take it to another level. So, what other way to do that then to have one of the greatest out of all time right now, and that's Kiss... That's my man."
Bow Wow, 23, offered his fans more details about the collaboration via Twitter on Aug. 11. Besides admitting Kiss would keep him on his toes, Bow also revealed the D-Block rhymer would serve as a positive force behind him.
"I remember being in Kanye session and seeing common rhymefest and others all in there just vibing and pushing each other [sic]," he wrote. "What better way to get better than to have one of the illest of our time pushing you. telling naw.. re write that Bow. or dats wack! i need that [sic]."
'Who Is Shad Moss' will be the rapper's first release since his departure from Sony Records last year, and serve as his first full-length under the Cash Money Records imprint.
