"I'm gonna get superstar records on there, some exclusives," Elba said in an interview. "But I'm also trying to get some people that follow me on Twitter, people that have been following and supporting 'Takers' to submit a couple records on the mixtape ... I'll throw a couple of my own songs on the jam, too ... so be careful."
In the film Elba stars as Gordon Corier, the frontman of group of skilled bank robbers. While attempting to commit a $20 million heist, the robbers find their plan foiled by a persistent detective. The all-star cast includes T.I., Chris Brown, Zoe Saldana, Paul Walker and Michael Ealy.
"I'm gonna put the tape out the same day as the film," Elba promised. 'Takers' hits theaters August 27.
