Questlove Still Makes DJ Gig Despite Car Accident

Questlove was involved in a minor car accident last night (Aug. 12) while on his way to DJ at the New York City hotspot Brooklyn Bowl. Quest wasn't doing the actual driving, but was caught off guard and found himself a little shook up when his driver ran into a cab causing what he says was 'a small pile up.'

The Roots drummer holds down a spot at Brooklyn Bowl on Thursday nights as a resident DJ, and despite the accident it didn't keep him from tending to his weekly duties. "Wow. Driver just crashed into a cab," he tweeted. "No one hurt. Lil shook up, but I'm coming @brooklynbowl. I'm comin...cabbie on 5th ave wanted to avoid traffic light photo flash, so he hit breaks this causing our pileup."

In other news, Questlove has teamed up with R&B sensation John Legend to release a new album 'Wake Up!' on Sept. 21. The project will include a collection of soulful 70's throwbacks they've recreated from artists such as Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway and Bill Withers.

I've been hit on motorcycle and twice in a vehicial buy assailent when your a drumming musician it does
cause concern.
