'Repercussions' debuted this week at No. 94 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Hill graced the charts in 2006 after the Method Man track 'Say,' which features the West Orange, N.J. native, landed at No. 10 on the same chart.
The success of the song coincides with the gradual return of Ms. Hill to the spotlight following a few years of bizarre behavior and rare appearances. With the release of new material, fans have speculated that Hill could be gearing up to release a follow-up album to her sole studio LP, 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,' which has sold more than eight million copies since its 1998 release.
With a few recent festival appearances under her belt, Hill plans to headline this year's Rock the Bells tour beginning next month. The annual fest will also feature acts such as Wu-Tang Clan, Snoop Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest and more performing their respective classic albums in their entirety.
