Jim Jones, Fat Joe, Juelz Santana and Maino will join hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons in New York City this week to participate in an anti-violence demonstration.

Dubbed 'Tsunami of Peace: Ride, Walk & Rally Against Violence,' the movement is intended to draw attention to the recent surge of gun violence in the city's urban neighborhoods. In order to drive home the message about the danger of firearms, the rally will be staged as a funeral procession in each New York City borough. "We cannot accept the constant violence and death in our communities as the norm," Simmons said in a statement to AllHipHop. "Time to stand up."

The hearses being used in each procession will be donated by local funeral homes throughout the city. The rally will assemble on Guy R. Brewer and Baisley Boulevard in Queens; at Thomas Boyland and Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn; Jersey Street in Staten Island; 156th Street and Morris Avenue in the Bronx and 125th and 12th Avenue in Manhattan.

The Peace Walk and Ride will take place on the Brooklyn Bridge followed by a Peace Rally in Manhattan. In March, Russell Simmons spoke at a rally in Queens, N.Y. to condemn the rising violence in New York City neighborhoods. The event was in support of the Peace Keepers Movement.

This is a joke right? Jim Jones thrives on boasting that he is a Bloods gangmember. Is he going to remember and dedicate this event to the senseless violence he perpetrated against the 15-year-old on 144th and Broadway which resulted in his death? Jim, any gimic to be in the newspaper!
