Jim Jonsin, who produced Sonic the Hamilton's latest single 'Gauchos,' recently spoke on how he wish he hadn't passed off the beat to Charles for the single, and how when they were working on the track, he couldn't help but get weirded out by his demeanor.
"I'll be honest -- I wasn't really into that song at all. I told him and his manager that. There was another song for him that would've been much better, but he wanted that one," Jonsin told Vibe. "I find Charles Hamilton to be a little strange; he has his own vibe. He's all over the place, but he's a really good writer and is easy to get along with."
He also revealed that he much rather would have given the grungy beat to a top tier artist like Young Jeezy or T.I. than someone like Charles or even B.o.B. "I love that beat, but I wouldn't put B.o.B on that record either," he added. "I was going to play the actual track for T.I. or Jeezy. Nothing against what Charles did, but I wish that track went to someone else."
'Gauchos,' which hit the 'Net in May 2010, was intended for a future Charles Hamilton project that is yet to surface. The pair recorded the tune in Miami earlier this year.
