Once a force to be reckoned with in the hip-hop game, the record label, which was ran by Suge Knight, fell into a financial hole forcing them to file for bankruptcy before going up for auction. WIDEawake Entertainment obtained the company for $18 million giving them ownership to the music from Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and the late Tupac Shakur during their tenure on the label. Unfortunately the new management has done little to quiet all of Death Rowís bill collectors. Earlier this year Dre filed a suit against the label for unpaid royalties from his 1996 release, The Chronic, for which he is seeking $75,000 in damages.
