SKG, whose real name is Helecia Choyce, was once a golden child of the label's co-founder Suge Knight even though he was incarcerated during much of her tenure. Throughout the book, entitled 'The Diary of Helecia Choyce: The Hustle Within Part 1,' the femcee dishes on her encounters with the Death Row co-founder, as well as Jim Jones, Nipsey Hussle, Young Jeezy and many others.
A press release for 'The Diary of Helecia Choyce ...' gets right into its gossipy leanings: "The drama-filled tales range from a pregnant Choyce being jumped by a gang at the behest of fellow L.A. rapper Nipsey Hussle, heated altercations with both Maino and Chamillionaire, sneaking onto a highly secured movie set in order to meet Will Smith, dealing with Mariah Carey's notorious diva-like behavior, working with media/TV personality Wendy Williams and getting acquainted with famed director Quentin Tarantino."
It's unknown if Choyce has continued to make music during the last few years. Perhaps there are enough gossip hungry readers to give her another crack at the spotlight, though.
