Queen Latifah Invests in New York Spring Water

50 Cent may want to watch out because Queen Latifah may be his celebrity competition in the vitamin drink industry. According to reports, Latifah's Flavor Unit Entertainment Group has become partial owner of New York Spring Water, which also carries a vitamin drink.

The company holds offices in both New York City and West Palm Beach, Fla., as well as a bottling plant in N.Y.'s Catskill Mountains. "Latifah and I are really excited about this partnership," Flavor Unit Co-Founder Shakim Compere said in a statement. "New York Spring Water is an innovative company and is definitely at the forefront of new product developments in the industry,"

Aside from the company's main product VBlast vitamin-fortified water, they also carry VBee multi-vitamin spring water for kids and a brand of mineral water known as Aqua84. Latifah and her company will play a part in the global marketing of the brand. 7-Eleven will begin carrying the New York Springs Water Brand in the coming weeks.
